Bond Building Parrot Games

As a lot of you know, Bandit has MANY games he likes to play…
I thought I’d share another one because they can just be too funny. This one started when he was being super hyper and so one day I picked him up and stuffed him behind the pillow in my attempt to give me a two second break from his hyper-ness self! Ever since, he has thought that was the BEST IDEA in the WORLD!
Who knew the dark side of a pillow could be so much fun?!
He used to keep flying to me to do it again, and again, and again, and… you guessed it… again. Well, that began to wear me out too! So I stopped putting him in there and he started figuring out that he could do it himself! That was the biggest kicker and it’s hilarious. Sometimes I get him started and every once in a while I will put him in there but for the most part, he has taken over the game and it’s something he can play solo too.
Though like any real cockatoo, he prefers an audience.

It’s just like a nest hollow! No wonder he likes going in there.
Brilliant! I LOVE IT! What a clever boy!
I just found a new game for my nanday- Ike, on thansgiving I had a produce box with cut out handles, vent holes and of course a door. He spied it on the table and kept one eye on it, so I flipped it upside down so it looked like a house and put him on the table with it. Needless to say an hour later he was still playing with it! chewing, peeking and climbing! He loved it- he would peek out with one eye and say peke-a- boo. He had a blast.
