Her name is Brielle, and she was born weighing 8lbs 5oz and was 22 inches long. She’s in great health, and her mama is recovering very nicely too.
We’re SUPER excited to see her come into this world!

I would also like to share some questions I have about my Ringneck with you. They are actually more concerns. I have recently added two little baby kittens (I rescued them after a rain storm) to our little pet family. Since then, Gabi, our Ringneck started moulting and plucking feathers. The previous owner says that it is normal for this time of year that he does it, but I’m not sure. Does a bird do that once a year or is Gabi distressed? Is there maybe something lacking in his diet? Or is he maybe just very upset that he doesn’t get all the attention anymore? I just want him to be happy and healthy…I guess I can’t really expect them to get along. People have told me that Ringneck’s do not mix with any other species, is this really true?

Wow, she is sure your daughter!! Zipper my African Gray, mimics the Fabulous Eagles that fly around here on Vancouver Island to perfection. As a matter of fact, his cries even scare away the little song-birds if he is in his outdoor cage……….I hope your birds do not mimic Brielle’s crying.
Zipper is my baby and if he gets “cranky” I just mimic his baby voice and he calms right down. He can revert to wanting food from my mouth, I have had him 14 years since he was 5 months old. Zipper greats visitors to my home by name and also says goodby to them. If you ask him where Genie is, he will bark and call the dog.. He also will say “Oh oh, I thought I saw a Pussycat”. and ask the cat if he wants to go out? If the cat is outside the patio doors he will ask “wanna come in Charlie?” He can also mimic 2 cats in a cat fight, mine will be inside and the other outside the patio doors…you can even tell which cat is which…amazing.
None of my friends are allowed to swear around him, as he loves the intensity of a curse word. I have managed to change his only one to shoot, but every once in a while he will still come out with the Oh Sh–!! in his loudest voice. He is the joy of my life, and I have 4 grandchildren.

Sunny, my Sun Conure is biting my male companion. He seems to have even developed a shoe fetish. If my mom comes in the room barefoot (as I usually am) he is o.k. But if she comes in the room wearing tennis shoes, slippers, etc. he waits until she is ready to leave the room and then sneaks behind her in order to plant a bite.
As for Ron, if he gets too close to me, Sunny will even fly (wings clipped) a foot to plant a bite on his face, hands, whatever he can find.
I don’t have much money as I am on a fixed income, but even the courses you sent me on how to stop parrots from biting crashed too.
Enough of me,

My blue headed conure has a plucking problem. It’s primarily when she is in her cage alone. Clean bill of health from the vet. Tried: larger cage (cockatoo size), leaving TV on, more baths, aloe spray, more toys, changing out toys frequently, lots of time out of cage, added vitamins and flax seed to diet which is low seed (she will not eat any pellet food). Most days there is someone home to have here out. I only work 3 days a week, and my husband works once or twice a month. She is super lovable. I have tried everything suggested. Now what? The poor thing has no tail anymore and very little wings which gives her very poor balance. Please help my little girl, Gypsy.

My Ruby Macaw, Phillip says “hi”. Congrats Chet, are you going to clicker train her? Just kidding, she is beautiful. I also wanted to let you know that using your techniques helped me turn around Phillip very quickly. He was alway very timid and would often bite if you tried to pet lhim. I now have him greeting me everytime I walk into the room. He says “Hi, how ya doin? I’m pretty good.” He also says “watch me!”, and then he tries to show off by hanging by his beak with his wings tucked in , while he is doing it he says, “look,look”. Your techniques have helped alot and I often share them with people who have a problem and I also refer them to you. Thanks, again Chet, and congrats on the kiddo, good thing she doesn’t look like you! I would like to link you to my website, if you would give me a html I could use, I will do just that.
