Healthy Pastas For Parrots

The great thing about Farmer’s Markets is they carry really… interesting… stuff. There’s a pasta stand at the one here in Orlando and they have tons of different pastas. They had a black and orange one for Halloween but sadly, the black ones were chocolate flavored so they weren’t something I could do for my birds.

However, I did find some awesome sweet potato flavored pasta! It was nice and thick and was perfect for my birds.

It cooked in the same amount of time as any other pasta and I made a ton for all my birds! They didn’t hesitate a bit and went right for it. If your bird is a picky eater, and won’t eat sweet potato but will eat pastas, I would highly recommend using this pasta to get your bird to eat the real thing. Parrots always want what YOU have so maybe make it for the family too so your birds are more likely to eat it as well.

The market also had fruity pastas that were colored and different fruits. Our birds loved them as well and they smelled SO good! I loved making them just to smell them.

So visit your local Farmer’s Market and pick up your healthy and fun pastas for your birds to try! You won’t regret it.
