QI have a 1 and a half year old female Indian Ringneck. She is very friendly and very energetic. I am trying to teach her to talk but she speaks in gibberish. She says weird word that sound familiar but i have no clue what they are. Can you tell me when will she actually start talking?

AEvery bird is different when it comes to when they start talking and how well. My African Grey parrot said “hello” very clearly the first day we got her and she was only 3 months old, but she has never said it since! She only started talking again with a larger vocabulary after she was a year old.?

?

However, parrots can be great at mimicking human language and can learn fast in as little as 15 minutes a day from you! Parrots have an easier time mimicking other parrots because of their voices and tones being more of a match, so it’s best to teach them using other birds’ voices. This is why we developed our speech training course the way we did; using other bird’s voices to help your bird learn faster and easier.?

?

We also teach you when the best times are to teach your bird a new word so you don’t waste time boring your bird to death while repeating the same few words to him day after day. We use our birds in this course among others so there’s a variety for you and your bird and he won’t ever get bored of hearing the audio, because we make it random for when the talking plays for your bird. It isn’t looping over and over to the point it drives you both nuts.

?

So if you’re interested in training your bird to talk and can spare 15 minutes out of your day to do so, you will definitely want to look into our speech training course and get started with your parrot on building a hearty vocabulary!
