The 3 Greatest Parrot Videos (as chosen by Birdtricks.com Subscribers)
Well the contest for the three greatest parrot videos is now over
I’ve enjoyed the heck out of all the videos you’ve been sending me. Some videos have been flat out amazing, while others cute and funny, and everything in between.
So here are the three winning videos, that received the most 5 star votes in three catagories.

Click Here to see the funniest parrot video
Click Here to see the most amazing parrot video
Each owner of these videos has won $250! But I made a tiny mistake that I need your help on fixing… I need the mailing addresses of the people who submitted videos to me, along with your name to verify you’re the right person. But just so you know, i know the name of each person who submitted the video (so I’ll know if you lie and pretend that you’re the one who sent in the video, and then publicly shame you everywhere I can if you try to claim the prize that someone else deserves to win
So if you’re one of the three people who’s video I posted above as the winner of this contest I need you to email or call dana, who handles all my customer service and let her know the address to mail your cash prize of $250 to.
Thanks for a SUPER fun contest, and I’ll be in touch soon!
Chet

The winner of the talking is cute, but I call that whistling. What happened to talking birds? Sorry, but I felt there were better talking birds videos.

Thanks Chet, Those videos sure helped pull my sad heart to a happier place. I’ll spare you the details… just take my word for it. I do have a question, if I may? My sweet Luey (a cockatiel) loves me big time and I love him too, but I can’t be with him 24/7 like he and I would like and I know he gets lonely when I’m not with him. I’d like to get him a buddy … should I get him another cockateil or a different type bird? Will he still love me? I noticed in that first video that there were two cockatiels. My Luey whistles alot like that guy in the video. He was great and when I showed the video to my bird Luey was all into it. Too cute! Take care, Ginger Rain

I enjoyed watching the entries so much. I was surprised they were so simple. I didn’t enter my Grey because I thought for sure there were way to many out there better then him. Now I know that he is as good as some of those so if you do it again I will have to submit a video of him.
I love watching all kinds of smart birds and I love when you do things like this. Keep it up.

I can’t see the videos! None of them are playing!

The whistling cockatiel was fantastic, but I agree its not talking.
The ringneck was very funny, great editing!
The macaw was amazing, but obviously trained by professionals and as such I feel this entry should have been excluded.
Thoroughly enjoyed watching the entrants, kept a smile on my face for days.
Well done everyone, all the birds are obviously well cared for and very happy and thats the main thing.

The whistling Cockatiel is just so sweet and clever to keep going for so long. Your idea to run this comp. was the coolest yet. I didn’t enter any of my birds due to a lack of time but next time if there is a next time I sure will. Keep up the good work.

They’re really good!

I enjoyed the videos. but I thought that talking ment talking not whistling. And the last one was ok but the trick was not done by a bird or person that just has a pet. they were pros.
I felt that the prize should have went to people that just has their birds for pets and family not acting porpose.
My bird can dance and talk and lays in my arm like a baby. I feel that this is what a contest should be (just a baby contest is) not with people that makes a living with the bird.
Just want to say they were all good videos. Thanks Keith

The talking parrot I think should have gone to the budgie I think its amazing for a budgie to talk as good as he did.

After watching the videos and reading the comments from others, I also agree that this was a fun, interesting and very informative contest. I also agree with Keith Monahan, that this should have been left up to the family pet owner and not the pro, yet it is great to see the video of the pro as an example. Also, it should be explained at the start, that WE are the viewers/voters/judges of the contest, but you as the promoter of the contest should have the right to make a corrective adjustment or statement(in other words, the final say).
Perhaps, if this becomes an annual event, now that we have seen what is out there that can be done, break down or add to the categories and have the prise of $100.00 each. Since 3 categories of $250 equals $700, have 7 categories of $100 each.
(1) Best Singing.
(2) Best Whistling.
(3) Best Trick(s).
(4) Best Talking.
(5) Cutest Activity.
(6) Smartest Bird.
(7) Best Professional.
But over all, this was a Great FIRST contest. The previous list is just there as an example. Maybe you would like to get all others to respond to what they think would be good categories for next years contest… Now that I’ve seen it, maybe I’ll enter one or both of my Grey’s next year. Stephen ;-)>

I enjoyed watching the videos, although I was trying to send a video of my Blue Front Amazon chasing my dogs around the kitchen but I wasn’t able to get it to download to you and don’t know why. I would like to try it again if you have another contest, so please let me know. Thanks, Tammy

Hey Guys,
I just bought your tapes and I am thrilled to find out I have been doing thing right. I inheritated a Senagal Parrott from my Mother. He has been passed from my aunt to her sone to my mom to me. It has taken me over 6 months to get him turned from a vicious little “Hulk” to a real little lover. I do not know his age but I am estimating he is around 15 years old.
I recently went to a bird fair in Tulsa Oklahoma and have an Oppritunity to get an Umbrella Cockatoo. He has been raised by the same person since she was 6 months old.
At first I was all gung ho but after listening to your CD’s and books I have purchased I am having second thought about caring for a second larger breed bird.
I am hoping I can get knowledge from your series and we all know fear decreases when knowledge increases.
Thanks for doing what you are doing. Keep it up
