Gambit my Umbrella cockatoo loves to sit in the sun, how long do you think we should allow this at a single sitting.

Hi Connie,
As a society, I think we sometimes get caught up in scientific advancement and new technologies and forget about the most basic things that have been there for us to utilize all along, like the sun. Do you actually hang out "in" the aviary? I love that! Please send a picture of your perch.

Thank you for sharing the benefits of natural sunlight. My birds get full spectrum light during the day when they are in their indoor cages, but as soon as I get home from work and on weekends they are in their aviary. I often find myself hanging out in the aviary with them after work. We all feel much happier and content after spending some time together in the fresh air and sunshine.
