Thanks to all who participated in the Birdtricks.com Best Talking Bird Contest! We loved every entry and are looking forward to holding this contest again sometime in the future.
A big congratulations to Bella the talking lovebird who won first place with 1315 votes!
Coming in 2nd place with 1061 votes was an awesome African Grey singing the theme song to cops! Way to go bad bird!
And in 3rd place with 596 votes we have Kiwi the Amazon talking up a storm. Good job Kiwi!
I really don’t understand why the lovebird won! She is a beautiful bird but I really couldn’t understand her. I cannot even hear the lovebird talking for all the talking by the woman and the kid in the video who seemed to be terrorizing the lovebird. I only noticed the bird say something in the beginning of the video and the rest of the time Bella seemed to be lunging at the boy who was terrorizing her. The African Grey and the Amazon spoke FAR better in my opinion but oh well! Very strange indeed.
I believe you had good intentions when you started the contest.But I can’t help but believe ther ewas something terribely wrong with the voting. The bird that won did not even talk. Besides that it looked as if it was scared to death of the child doing the talking and rolling the toy. If anything it was being abused. I’m dissapointed with the over all of the contest. Any of the other birds could or should have won. I followed the voting for most of the month and the voting for the winning bird was very question.able
Yes, I really appreciate the opportunity to show my bird. I had never tried to video him before and even though it was a shame the way things turned out, I mean a shame, I really enjoyed most of the videos. I was amazed how well bad boys was sung, how enthuseastic an Elextus is, how parrots function in the different enviroments they have. I saw alot of contient and happy birds! So, I thank you all for letting me have a peek into your lovin’ every mintue with a parrot lives! I learned that early in the morning is the best video action for my bird. I worked all day to get what I got. It was a challenge and I learned alot working on trying to not stress my bird with something new added into his enviroment. So, I say thanks to all you honest and wonderful hard working people who made an honest effort to show the best of their bird!
its ashame that people have to be so mean a harsh. if its not one things its another. i feel for this winning and i a complete stranger went out and voted for this beautiful crazy stubborn lovebird! for her character and her ability to show some attitude! never have i seen a lovebird with so much character! i pushed votes on all i new and wanted to help this bird win! have u seen her in action. go visit her other videos shes a character! i dont care what others say she won and she recieved my vote and all my coworkers,and family members and all the bird lovers that were able to see what we saw!!!! shes a doll! http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=vids.individual&videoid=53546780
